Aireys Inlet cliff-top walk starts near the Split Point Lighthouse and go along the limestone cliff tops with spectacular views of the coast to finish at beautiful Sunnymead Beach. Includes sidetracks to beaches and rock pools.

Aireys Inlet to Fairhaven Beach Walk also starts/finishes at the Lighthouse and goes to Fairhaven in the opposite direction. This cliff top walk is a beauty, particularly early in the morning as you can see the sun come up over the sea, but there is lots to see at any time of the day and any season (although it can get a bit cold and blowy in winter).

Fairhaven Beach, in Aireys Inlet, is a top surfing spot known for its medium and big waves. It’s the longest beach on the Great Ocean Road, offering ample space. Always busy when the surf’s up, it’s best suited for experienced surfers.

Paddleboarding or canoeing up Painkalac Creek is also popular. Secluded coves between Urquhart Bluff and the Inlet are great for rockpool rambling, swimming, surfing, and snorkeling. Sandy Gully and Step Beach offer access to charming coves, while Inlet Beach is family-friendly with nearby facilities. The 8 km stretch from Fairhaven to Eastern View is perfect for beach walks, with patrols during peak periods.
